When I got the car there was not brakes at all. I filled the brake fluid which was empty. I have tried pumping the brakes several times but it won't get hard. If no leaks, bleed system. If there are leaks, repair leak. If you bleed the system until there is no more air in the brake lines and hoses and the pedal still does not come up, check master cylinder.
