Let me first say thank you for your help. I have replaced the master cylinder and bled all 4 wheels and I still have no brake pedal after starting the engine. Here is what has happened so far, maybe I haven't given you all the information. The car has been sitting for 9 months. After I started it, I tried the brakes and the pedal went to the floor. I heard a click down by the pedal and the warning light came on. I found the brake hose at the left front wheel was torn so I replaced it along with the line from there to the proportioning valve. Since then I have bled all 4 wheels twice and now replaced the master cylinder. The warning light is still on and I still have no pedal. Any ideas you may have will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are you getting good fluid transfer to all four wheels when you’re bleeding the system? If so and you are not getting any more air from the system; try clipping a pair of vice grips to each one of the flex lines. Not so tight that you damage the lines casing but tight enough that you know that you’ve pinched the line off so no fluid can flow. Now try the brake pedal; if it is right at the top and hard, you know that it’s not a hydraulic problem. But likely seized caliper guide pins, brake pads seized in their perches, friction material coming off of backer or the rear brakes way out of adjustment. Leaving too much clearance between the friction material and brake drums or rotors. To further isolate the problem, remove the grips one at a time; noting the pedal travel as each is removed. This will tell you if you need to concern yourself with front, rear, one wheel or all four. Just a side note here; you’ll never get the pedal as good as when the lines are clipped off, so don’t bother trying. Two to four inches of travel I would say is a normal pedal. Dan.
