Brake seem to have burning odor

Hi there,
I recently changed my rear brake pads and rotors on a '93 mits eclipse. The brakes work fine, but while driving they seem to let off a real foul almost burning odor.
Does anyone know what this can be from?

The rotors would have been packaged or coated with product so that they don't rust. Package should have said to clean them with now usually just soap and water or the spray brakekleen (brand named) on the friction surface. If they came with goo it would take a while for the odor to go away. I never installed parts without cleaning them so can't say how long it could smell but it wouldn't be too long. Same day should be gone. Not cleaning them could really hurt the performance of the new job.
If this has been more than the day there might be a problem with a caliper and or the hardware and lube thereof.
How is the parking brake done in this car? Is that hanging up/dragging? Feel the wheels after a drive and they should be the same temp. The wheels should spin freely when jacked up and you probably should go back and take a look at the parts.
Rear brakes generally don't give you an improper feel like front ones will if something is wrong,
