Brake failure 92 GMC Vandura 2500

Brake failure. My 1992 GMC Vandura 2500 had a sudden brake failure. No pedal. Fluid empty. Filled fluid and it did pump up a little pressure but quickly lost it. Fluid empty again. I expected a puddle at a wheel, but found none. It got on the exhaust crossover pipe and drips from the engine area, in several places.
I would like to diagnose and fix this myself, but I don't have a clue how to locate the leak, if it's somewhere over the engine area. I can't find a schematic of the brake system and line distribution. I'd be grateful for any suggestions from one of you experienced guys.
I attempted to post this yesterday, but can't find it today. I hope I'm not accidently posting it twice. Thank you very much.

Follow the lines and even the back of the master cylinder down the booster. There is a line that goes to FR wheel that may have sprayed on the pipe. Look for rusted areas which are too common and can hide out of sight. The line that crosses over must be as any carefully replace to not hit objects or get hot from exhaust pipes so follow any line replacement as close to where original is as best you can.
Rust is the most common problem and flex lines and their crimped connections but check anything involved with brake fluid,
