Brake Sign In

Hi.

I know there is not a Van section here but was hoping someone could offer me some help. I have just replaced all 4 brake pads on my Mercedes Sprinter Van but the brake pedal is very spongy. I was hoping someone could tell how to me rectify this.

THanks

Re: Brake Sign In

Did you just replace the pads or do more? Just pads without new rotors can work but there is a time before they feel their best as they wear to the imperfections of the old rotor. If they are real poor there's a problem. Did you open the brake fluid system or just push back pistons? Best not to do the latter as you are pushing old brake fluid thru the anti-lock system and if dirty it isn't good for it at all. Big $$ at risk!
