Battery or Alternator problem.

The other day while driving home i noticed the battery gauage on my dashboard was dropping and the battery light was going on and then off. I know that if that light is coming on it means im not generating enough electricity compared to what im using, so i turn off my stereo and all other accessories. I cleaned/reattatched the terminals, checked for fried wires and nothing. So after messing around with it I realized that that the battery light comes on when im at a LOW RPM (so stopped, or after letting off gas) but goes away when i get the rpm back up. I checked the theory by just sitting there with my subs pounding, lights on and all accessories on as well, and if im stopped the battery drains, if i rev the engine it stays the same. I just replaced my Alternator less than a month ago, so im thinking it not that?? (if it is its covered by warrenty) The only other idea I can think of is that its the battery (which is fairly old itself)

The problem is in your charging system. Theory about revving the engine to make it charge more isn't rocket science. The faster you turn the alternator, the more it can put out. Check your belts first and make sure it isn't slipping. If the belt is tight, take the alternator back.
