Bad Gasoline, How to empty tank?? Sign In

After a complete tune up on a 94 dodge ram the truck still just stops running. Im now guessing that I have a bank tank of gas. Its thirty gallons and completly full. What is the best way to empty this, as apparently you can not cyphen like on older cars. Any help appreciated.

I think you still can siphon out the gas (you made me look up that word) with a hard gas friendly plastic hose.

An issue here is what to do with the gas??

I bet it's not bad gas. If it were that bad it would clog up a fuel filter and you'd get nothing to the engine. The problem with "bad gas" is usually because a station didn't tend to their tanks and normal condensation does settle at the bottom and needs to be pumped out now and then.

Your fuel filter should protect you. If you still think it's bad gas try removing the filter and dump the bit of gas into a clear glass and let it set for a while and look at it.

This could be tough as it's possible I think for the gas station to get the wrong fuel put in their tank but unlikely.

If this happened all at once with this tank of gas I would ask the manager of that place if others have had or complained about a problem, T
