Alternator Replaced -new thread Sign In

Replaced faulty alternator. The expected result of the truck starting did not occur. Checked all I could and decided the starter may be the culprit. Changed it to no avail. With several inputs from various sources the battery seemed the focus. I had it checked, it showed okay, but didn't work on the truck.
I got a new one this evening and when installing it a cable pulled loose off the positive terminal! It may be the original culprit; but didn't break or pull loose with all the tugging and moving around this past weekend. Will need to get a new connection and hope for the best.

May be the battery connection was the culprit or victim; but it is fixed now.
