I have a 1993 Toyota Corolla and I just replaced the Speed sensor because the speedodometer was not working correctly and after replcing the speed sensor the speedodometer still does not work correctly. Any ideas as to what else could be the problem. the speedodomter does not work until you reach a speed of about 55 mph and then it jumps right up to 55 mph but even though you go up to 65 + mph it stayes around 55 mph all the time. Si I replaced the speed sensor and it still does the same thing. It still keeps track of the mileage correctly.

Sounds like the problem is in the Instrument cluster itself.

This would have to be removed and taken to a ceritfied repair center for repairs.
They may have an exchange unit available, they would have to set the replacement one to the correct mileage .
Another option is a used one,but it would need to have the mileage set correctly as well.
