Sign In I have a 1994 Chevy pick-up, 6 cyl. 4.3. I checked my oil to soon after I shut off the truck. All the oil must not have drained down into the pan. I added two quarts of oil when all I need was only one. My dip stick reads that I'm over a quart. Sign In The extra needs to be removed somehow. I'd personally just open the drain plug and let some out into a clean pan.
