Hello I am a science teacher located here in Raleigh nc and I am putting out a search to see if I can get any and all help for my class of very ambitious science students who are working on a huge science project for an upcoming compeition in May. We need all the used car batteries that we can get our hands on, please I will pay to pick it up or come to where you are and pick it up myself. I just gotta ask - what in the heck are you up to and I hope you are aware that used and spent batteries (lead acid automotive types) are a mess to handle and could be leaking acid. Even could be dangerous with gasses if not well ventilated....

wanted to add that most used or spent batteries go back to the parts store as a core usually i think its like a 10 dollar core most ppl will take it back to get ther 10 dollars because well its 10 dollars and they just forked out 60 on a battery so yea they get that money. some shops have em sittn around for a month or more just waiting for the interstate guy to come pick em up and yes they can be really messy especially when you put em in the back seat on the floor and they leak all over i have definatly had that happen to me before if its for a small project you need a little power for you will be better off buying a small battery
