It pops on and off often, sometimes several times per minute, other times it'll stay on or off all day. When the light is on the brakes function only as conventional brakes, and when it is off they perform properly. I've tried resetting the system by disconnecting the neg terminal on the battery. I do plan to take this to the shop, but I'd like to have an idea what I may be up against here, and if it may also be possible for me to fix this myself. The car is a 98 Taurus SE. You will have to take it to a shop that has a scanner that will pull the codes. Post the EXACT code number back here and we can help you.
