have a 2003 Cadillac SLS with 87000 miles with a V-8 engine. The ABS, brake and traction control warning lights come on and I have no temperature control, AC or heat, seat heaters do not work and the emergency brake will not release when shifter is taken out of park. We can control the fan speed but not where air comes out. This started after I replaced the rear brakes. This is very intermittent and I can find no way to make it stop or make it start. The lights have always gone out after driving awhile. Took to dealer and they thought it was ABS module. Replaced it but that did not work. I made them take it back off. They said to bring it back when the lights stayed on. I have checked the ground terminals on both driver and passenger door posts. About 2 months ago, I took the rear brakes off and the car did not mess up for about 2 months. It has now started again. Do you have any ideas? Also, the drivers seat heater has never worked. I had the mileage wrong on prior post.

I can't figure out how the brake work would affect the temp control,seat heaters,etc.
But anything is possible.
Ok,first off,what were/are the codes stored?if any?
What did you replace with the rear brakes?
Drivers seat heater inoperative is probably just that.Not related.Cadillac seat heaters are always going out.
This is what i think...Again just what i think....
Sounds like possibly an Ignition switch problem.That would make sense for the lights coming on and the partial controls not working.
I have seen Seville Ignition switches cause intermittent problems that can never be duplicated .Usually the ones we have run into were related to intermittent stall concerns and were on earlier model years.But Ignition switches,especially GM Dash mounted ones are prone to weird stuff happening.
Thats what it sounds like it could be to me.

Thanks for the thoughts. I do not know where the codes are stored, just the warning lights come on in the dash. I only replaced the rear brake pads, nothing else. From what the dealer tells me, the electrical system is in series and and the ABS system, the ac system, the seat heaters amd emergency brake are all inter connected. I do not know if this is correct or not? That is why I thought of the brakes. I do not know enough about the sensors on the rear brakes. Is it possible I could have gotten one out of adjustment? On the other hand, I have never considered the ignition switch as being the issue. What do you suggest, replacing the ignition switch? Once again, thanks for your ideas.
