99 chevy venture stalling

108,500 mi. 3.4L Stalling upon starting, when stopped and during acceleration. Service engine light flashes when accelerating then stays lit until I have to stop again, then starts flashing again. Have to keep one foot on gas at all times to keep it from dying.

1st step would be to have the codes reads to see what systems are being affected. When the check engine light is flashing that indicates there is a catalyst damaging condition going, basically you can ruin your converter if you keep driving it.
You want to get on this one as soon as possible or it can get real expensive, real quick.....
