99 gran prix gt wont stay running

99 pontica gran prix gt v6 starts and runs for a little awhile then shuts off change fuel pump cause that is what it acts like getting no gas change crank shaft sensor still doing same thing can somebody help

mdlady; At the time it dies, you'll need to determine if it is lacking fuel or spark. Since it sounds like it is temperature related, my guess would be electrical, but can't assume anything. Could also be an overfueling issue. Cold engines require a lot of fuel. Warm engines can't handle that much fuel if the PCM is still 'demanding' a rich condition, such as a faulty coolant temp sensor. Being a '99, you can get live data with a scanner to see what the PCM is 'seeing' at the time of the fault. Loren SW Washington

it does it cold or hot it ran all day next day wont start let it sit couple days and starts and runs off it goes again did fuel preesure test getting fuel i just dont wont to put more money in it unless i get a starting point thanks

mdlady; Your starting point, as you say, will be to diagnose the problem. Until that point, you cannot make an educated decision. If md means that you are in the health field, you should know what I mean. If md is for Maryland, well, it's anybody's guess. Loren SW Washington
