Hi. I'm a newbie. Any help would be appreciated so much. My son has a 99 Z71 with a couple hundred thousand miles on it. I've read several posts that cover the push button dash lights that engage the transfer case. We have basically the same problem as the others....the lights are kind of all over the place and don't do as they should. I've gathered that it is probably the actuautor, but here is my question...If I just take the fuse out (keeps blowing it anyway) what will be the status of the transfer case? Will it just stay in 2Hi until I can get it repaired properly? Will that cause any type of damage that I'm not aware of? It appears to be in 2 Hi and is running fine. Thanks so much in advance.
