'99 I30 shudders on pedal release

I got a '99 Infiniti I30 with about 95k on it recently. Inspection came back clean and test driving was good. I may have missed it on test driving, but maybe not..
Anyway, at higher speeds (seems to be 45 MPH+), when I let off the accelerator, the car shudders some. It's not terrible, but it worries me. I can't seem to tell if it is the engine for sure, but it does seem to be towards the front of the car in origin. What's also weird is it only happens if I'm fairly lightly pressing the pedal and release. If I have it pushed down pretty hard and release suddenly, it doesn't shudder.
Any help is greatly appreciated.. I'm just hoping I didn't buy a lemon somehow. Thanks
