My son has 1999 Plymouth Breeze, sometimes it will not start. It turns over but will not start, leave it sit for about 30 minutes, and then it usually starts. I have just replaced the battery and we are still having the same issue. Any help you can provide would be very helpful.

I'd get a full code reading even if the check engine light is not on. If nothing then you need to catch it when it DOESN'T start and see what's missing. Usually spark or fuel and it's possible to lack both!

?Has it ever quit after it was running (like stalled)and not restarted??

Only after it has sit for a few hours. Then again it will start after a short time. He drove it to school, parked came out 4 hours later the car would turn over, sound like it was going to start, it did not. He left it alone tried again in about 5 minutes and it started.

Is this car now "away from home like your son at a college or something?" First off don't try too hard when it's acting up or you'll just add a starter motor to the list of problems.

If it runs well when it does start and doesn't quit while driving it leads me to thinking that in the cranking mode it isn't getting spark or fuel but might after it's running.

If when it's down you just put the key to the "run" position you should hear the fuel pump buzz. If so and still no start then lack of spark is the likely issue. A code reading may be helpful with that as at the moment who knows what of several problems it could be??
