I have 98 Chevy Lumina 3.1 100k mi, that sat for several years and decided to get it running again. it has 80k miles. I removed the plugs, put about two table spoons of motor oil in each cylinder, and turned the engine over for about sixty seconds to pump oil into the the bearings by turning over the engine with the starter. Replaced with new plugs. high performance platinums in back three and regular new AC Delco spark plugs in front 3(since the back three are so hard to access. Replaced plug wires and motor oil and filter, Flushed radiator and replaced anti freeze. removed nd replaced fuel pump and fuel filter. Car had a little difficult starting but purred like a kitten once it started. it continued to have a little difficulty starting but once it started it ran very well. Although I normally use 87 octane, i added premium, drove 20 minutes and had good acceleration. I parked it and the next morning it had a very hard time starting. Finally got it to start it was missing misfiring a great deal. service engine flashing? Auto zone read the codes to mean multiple misfire. Please help.
