Problem with hesitation. 98 Civic EX, 5 speed, about 250,000 miles, 1.6L VTEC engine. I have a problem with hesitation on acceleration. The hesitation only crops up with moderate to hard acceleraion, and only occurs below about 3500 rpm. Once I'm a bove 3500, it seems fine. I can also drive steadily without problem, but get hesitation on acceleration attempts. The coil, ignitor, and plugs are all new. Filters are all recently replaced. Regarding the coil: I measured the primary winding resistance at 1.2 ohms. The specs say it should be 0.6 to 0.8 ohms. Is this far enough off to cause this problem?
