98' Toyota Camry Dome Light & Trunk Release

1998 Toyota Camry
4 cylinder
90550 miles
I just recently purchased this 98' toyota camry and the dome light does not come on when i open the door, but it comes on when i manually switch it on.
Also my trunk will not release on either two of my remotes for the car. Any ideas?

The dome lamp switch set on door?
Trunk release was optional on those. You'll have to find out if yours has the option. The key FOBs may not be the originals.
