I am trying to identify what the problem may be. When I start the car and first begin driving at low RPMs it almost sounds as if there is something inside the wheel that is bouncing around. It is almost a grinding noise but once I begin to speed up and warm the engine the sound goes away. Any ideas as to what this could be

It may not be emitting from the wheel, as the sound disapates or disappears as it heats up, how soon after the engine is stopped does the noise return? Does this occur only going forward or also in reverse? Does it cahn ge with rotation of the wheel? does it speed up as you do then slow down as you do when the vehicle is frist driven? THe hard part about noises are that they can sound as if they are coming from so many different places. You could have a transmission noise at the final drive emitting from the left side of the transmission that reduces as it heats up, that sounds like it is coming from the wheel. Most hubs or hub bearings do not go away when hot, they actually start when your moving and increase with speed. But are NOT heard sitting still. The wheel can emit a noise if it is not moving. And if it is making the noise when you first start it up and you are NOT moving then it has to be from either the engine or the transmission. A wheel has nothing that can emit a noise when at rest or not moving.
Please elaborate.
