'98 GMC Sierra Steering

My '98 GMC Sierra, 5.7 Liter V8, 4WD, is a little sloppy in the steering. The truck has been lifted. I replaced the pitman and leveler arms to get an alignment done on the truck as they had both been worn out. The truck steering is responsive, just has a bit of sloppy play in the steering wheel as you drive. I've been told there is a way to tighten this up, as if there is an adjustment bolt on the steering box or column. Any suggestions?

No, there is no way to take that play out if it's coming from the steering box other than replacing the box. There is an adjustment but it should only be changed during original assembly. Any play you have now is due to a flat spot in the worm gear only in the straight ahead position. If you adjust that play out now, it will cause binding when the wheels are turned. You probably have oversized tires so that not only exaggerated the problem but causes excessive wear. The lifing also changes all the geometry and engineering.
