Have you pulled codes?

It's got a 3.0 overhead valve, recently, to get my NYS inspection I had a p0401, lack of EGR, thats gone ,got my sticker and in the low end after a shift it lacks umpf , with a bit of surge,
FYI, For the egr problem I checked the OHMS on the vacuum selinoid and it read 37, haynes manual said it should be about 20, the new one from ford read 32, oh well, took a 30 mile ride and the code came back up, (I put the vacuum lines on wrong), assuming my work is perfect I tested the sensor for a jump in volts at about 2000 RPM, like the haynes manual said , no spike so I replaced it, it was an original and they said it's surprizing it lasted that long, took short ride and code came back up, replaced EGR valve, cleaned everything up, code returned and I then inspected my lines and found the problem, no more trouble codes I hope all curbservice professionals read this and learn, . But it lacks power on the ramps like it doesn't know what to do,

Learn what? How to throw a dozen parts at it until you find the problem?

95% of the time that code will be caused by a faulty DPFE sensor and sometimes a plugged passage.

You're the one that posted that nonsense and tried to make it sound like it was professional diagnostic work. If we made that many mistakes repairing a car, we would be out of business.

Why would I go to a bar? I can drink and get plenty of entertainment here.

Like HammerTime said, The DPFE (delta pressure feedback evap) sensor is a very common problem on these.
I would be looking into that before you throw any more parts at it.

The man said he already resolved the issue, although the hard way............ and by the way. DPFE stands for "Differential Pressure Feedback EGR/exhaust" sensor.

What is the function of the DPFE and how does it work? More importantly how do you check to see if the DPFE is functioning correctly?

Might as well have a learning session. No wiki quote answers too please.
