Hope someone can help with this:
1997 Ford Explorer,
at times (usually slow speeds, parking lot, rolling to a slow stop, etc), the brake pedal will sometimes sink halfway down (while making a whining/buzzing sound that you can kind of feel in the pedal.
I just finished replacing the master cylinder, bled all around , over the course of the summer it had all new pads, shoes rotors, etc, as well as new brake lines last winter all around too.
I don't see any indication of leakage, so I'm basically stumped... any ideas?

It's brakes so don't wait for the web to get this fixed. There is no doubt some problem with the anti-lock feature which will let the pedal sink and vibrate as it would in a skid. If it can do that when conditions are normal braking will suffer and you won't stop as quickly as you could. I HATE ANTI-LOCK BRAKES! They can be very expensive to repair and outright dangerous when they misbehave.

If you are from Maine as your name suggests you'll have plenty of chances to test how they work on glare ice, black ice etc., and probably realize the car can't out-think how you really should react to a situation.

Don't wait to correct that,

T
