1997 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV 80k miles. The only problem I've had with this vehicle, is when I'm accelerating quickly, it sometimes drops down to 0 rpm and cuts out. It also happens sometimes when I'm in 1st gear, and I need to stop, I'll push the clutch in and keep it in first while I hit the break. Any suggestions on the possible problem?

Check engine light on? If so, have it scanned and write down any codes stored. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

The Lancer EVO wasn't available in the states in 1997, so advice is limited. Have you attempted cleaning the throttle body? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
