The engine will start to feel like it is spitting and jumping but you never lose speed and the tach starts to jump around. I can tap the breaks and it will stop for a few minuets or I can step on the gas and power through it. I have had a engine tune up w/new plugs and wires. I regulary change the oil every 5k. I had a 99 that never had this type of problem. Can you swap the computer from a 99 and make it work in a 97?
