whe my car is running and i go to accelerate my car will sputter out and die and today when i was driving it to my friends garage it started doin it around 40 45mph

You will need to start with checking the fuel pressure. The guage will however need to be hooked up when the vehicle dies to see if it is a problem pump. I would suggest letting a shop perform this test as they should have the proper equipment to do this. If this is not a fuel pressure problem, it could be ignition system related or a bad sensor, MAF sensors can cause this.
