95 ford taurus dies

i have a 95 ford taurus 3,0 6cyl. i have to depress the gas pedal to start it, when i let off the gas, it dies. What could be causing this?

There is a good possibility the idle speed control motor is not working properly. Try tapping on it with a screwdriver handle and see if it helps. If it does, you can clean the valve with cleaner. It will eventually need replaced though. Good luck.
