95 S-10 Blazer fuel pump no power..4.3L

I was suspect of the pump and put the pressure gage to find the only 40 lbs. But the pump is not coming on with the key on, Only when starting. I put 12v to the fuel pump test lead and the pressure went up to 55, I tried starting the engine and it did start and ran till I turned it off. Then back to the same and the test lead will not run the pump. I put 12v directly on the pump at the tank connector and it runs and is at 55 psi.
I have changed the relay and still the same. What to check next. I think I have disconnected the oil pressure sensor and tried to start it with no luck. Did I blow a fuse link . I have 12 at the relay on a leg and on another leg with the key on. suggestions.
I plan on putting 12v back on the pump directly and try to start the truck and confirm the pump is OK. Then try to make a long lead to test the wire to the pump from the relay.
