95 Pontiac Transport Van

At speeds over 70mph the engine will just quit running. The distances can vary anywhere from 12 miles to 150miles. If I stay below 70 it never quits. I have changed the fuel filter and that made no difference. I'm wondering if I should just change the fuel pump. The van has low milage for the year, just over 100,000 miles. Any sugestions besides getting another car, I like it and it's paid for and like new inside and out except for the stalling.

What I would try is to have a fuel pressure gauge connected and routed out from under the hood, so it could be read from inside the van. A proper gauge that would read the pressure and be safe to leave connected during a road test isn’t cheap to buy, so maybe have a shop diagnose this for you before throwing any parts at it.
At least this would confirm whether the problem is fuel or the lack of.
