I have a 94 GMC 1500 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive pickup, I had to replace leaking fuel lines and noticed they are simular to brake lines exept for an extra nipple with an O ring, I got the lines from the new fuel pump to the filter but the front ones, engine to filter are $270**, Are off the shelf flared brake lines compatable? Do part stores have generic fuel lines different from the brake lines? Thanks

Engine size? I don't think that brake line will work. Unless they make brake line that is 3/8". You would also need to flare the line to except the o ring.

Dorman makes the return and pressure lines for that. They are about $60 a piece.

Thank you, the truck has a 5.0, the guy at the parts store said bend my own but the originals have a flex portion that would make it easier to get it past the tranny and all and if I can get after market pre fabed for a reasonable price thats better yet. Thanks again

You can't make your own unless you have a way to make the O-ring seat.

Dorman did not have them but 'lines to go' did, they're near nova scotia, fed ex ground took 3 days to get them to albany ny, they were pre bent but still needed a little tweeking. We're up and running and at half the cost of the dealer I'm happy.
