I have a '94 Chevy S10 blazer 4x4 with the 4.3 liter vortec motor. It has a good bit of miles, almost 240000, but its my first car and I'm trying to get all I can out of it. The other day I was riding down the road, and noticed a strange burning smell, and my check gauges light was on, and my temp gauge was through the roof. I pulled over and a gentleman took a look at it and put some water in the radiator, it came straight out of the bottom. I realized that the drain plug was missing in my radiator. I live in South Carolina, (bumpy dirt roads may have been the culprit). It may have fallen out. I went to the junkyard, and got a few off of S10s and other blazers. They didn't have a blazer exactly like mine, but i figured those would work fine. Out of the three plugs I got, none of them fit. I have bought three from auto parts stores, and I have one now that should fit, but I can't wedge it in there. It is a very small piece that isn't threaded. It's just a plastic piece with a metal prod poking out of the side. Can someone please give me some advice on how to get this in there so I can get my truck back on the road!!

Hmm? I've seen different things used in aftermarket radiators. You may do best to talk to a radiator shop. Some assorted plugs/drains are pre packaged to match up that I've seen out there, T
