And I couldn't get it to start again. All the dashboard lights are on and the battery is fine. When attempting to start the car, it would crank but not start. I've read somewhere that it could be the timing belt. Any thoughts on that? The timing belt is not something I'd be able to do myself. What are some "easier repairs" I can do to rule out less expensive causes? If the rotor is turning it means the timing belt did not break. It still is possible that it could have jumped time. The basics still need to be done. Fuel pressure checked, check for spark at the plugs, check injector pulse. Start there and post back with what you find so we can go further.
