When I start my car I can hear snapping at the spot where the plug wires connect to the coil packs. I can see spark on the #1 wire where it connects. Is it a bad coil pack?

Prabably - can you see a carbon trail that doesn't just rub off? If you can see it you can tell. I'd replace the wires too or at least that one,
