1992 Mazda Protege DX SOHC, A/C, A/T 3 days ago, car wouldn't start. After troubleshooting, bench tested starter = bad; confirmed by auto parts store. Replaced starter and battery clamps. Car started and ran fine for 2 days. Now it won't start. Just get one click from solenoid when trying to start. Dash lights up. Lunch break diagnosis: All connections to battery & starter look tight. Tried starting in neutral & park with brake depressed. Headlights do not dim when trying to start. Jumping off another car didn't help. Fuses all good. Where do I look next? Thanks, Wes

Sounds like you new Chinese starter went bad already. You get what you pay for these days. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Thanks. I figured so much. Just didn't want to overlook anything before towing it home.
