91 nissan sentra not starting when raining out Sign In

hi i was wondering if anyone could help me. i have a 91 nissan sentra, and last week we had a really bad rainstorm while i was working a 12 hour shift. when i went to leave that night, my car had trouble turning over and kept stalling out. it worked fine after i got a jump. i went and got both the alternator and battery tested. the alternator was fine, but the battery tested bad, so i replaced it. it worked fine for a few days, until it rained again. it had trouble turning over, but did finally catch and ran fine. today we had some more severe rain, and i just went out to start it and its refusing to turn over again. i have no idea what this could be, other than something is getting wet when it rains, causing a malfunction.. if anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

Park under cover! J/K, you have analysed the prob yourself. It does sound like something is getting wet somehow. Humidity can also be a factor in connections. If ALT is fine, then it might be your starter? Sometimes brushes or contacts in the starter tend to stick in heavy wet weather. But we will stick with simple one for now. Get battery tested again, make sure your battery terminals (on top of battery) are tight and look clean. if there is carbon on them (blue or green looking powder) get some bi-carb soda in water, and use an old toothbrush to scrub them clean. MAKE SURE THEY'RE TIGHT. If battery is fine, come and let me know again.
