1991
Chevy
Lumina APV (the van flavour, not the car)
i don't know anything about engine size, on a different site there was only one option...
71,000 mi.

Ok, i know, i know, the main thing that needs replaced is the bow tie on the front. i hear replacing it with a blue oval doesn't exactly work, but it looks better...
anyways, the van has multiple problems, but the one that i'm curious about right now is the fact that sometimes, not all the time, the steering gets really tight and when this happens, the battery light comes on, and turns back off when i straighten the wheel. isn't that interesting?? there isn't any corrosion or anything like that on the battery. i really know jack Sh!t about cars, and i just want to be able to drive it to advance to get the battery and alternator tested, but i'm scared to drive it at all.

Those symptoms are indicating that one of the belt driven component is causing the drive belt to slip. This could be a problem with the belt itself or the tensioner or it could be something like the alternator or A/C compressor locking up.

You're welcome. PS, The only engine option for your truck is the 3.1 V6
