91 S10 Blazer wiper problems

Hi all. I have a 91 S10 Blazer. Recently, my windshield wiper motor went out on me, and trying to save a buck, I went to the junkyard to get one. After installing it, my wiper arms park straight up instead of down like they should. Did I install it incorrectly? Is it possible to have the linkage set wrong? This motor is intermittent, so it does have a pulse board. Does the pulse board control the park switch? Or is it seperate. I can't seem to get a new motor with a pulse board, I have to reuse the one I have. Any help is greatly appreciated, as this is driving me nuts :) Thanks

you might have just put the linkage back on wrong. take the linkage off and run the wipers, then turn them off. that should be your park position, then align the wipers. __________________________________________________ 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2002 Ford Ranger 2004 Toyota Corolla 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1

Hmmm - a maybe fix for this: Try removing the linkage and run the motor and when shut off re-attach linkage such that, that is the known "parked/home" position. Motor used might have been on when it quit (accident - tested and not allowed to stop??) and not in the "parked/home" position?? T
