90's firebird randomly cutting out

A friend is having a problem with his firebird. Even while driving it is just cutting out. Loss of power, everything. I previously had this problem with my mustang. I was told a little too late( I had gotten rid of it.) That It was probably the control module?
The fuel system seems to be fine, it doesn't sputter or anything. You just have to wait say half an hour before you can start it again. I figure I would just take it to jiffy lube or something and have them test what codes are being thrown but in the mean time I thought I'd look online too. Any suggestions?

several things could be wrong you need to have check out, 1st catlic converter,2d ignition module,3d computer,4th fuil pressure ect
