90 Subaru Legacy making grinding noise

Hi, I have a 1990 SUBARU LEGACY L/HX/PX/RX AWD STATION WAGON 2.2L 4 Cyl AWD. Yesterday the car started to make a high pitched grinding noise that seems to be coming from the rear passenger side. It starts around 20mph and gets louder with acceleration. It sounds like metal to metal. I took the wheel,caliper and rotor off to check it out. There is a grinding noise apparent when i turn the wheel, but is not present while the brakes are off. I would love to know where this is coming from so that I can fix it. It's making me nervous because this is a new vehicle and I desperately need it for daily use.

That's assinine......................

The car has a problem, probably a bad wheel bearing so unless you want to see your wheel passing you as you drive down the street, I suggest you get it looked at.

What is assinine? The fact that there is a problem? I would like an answer and some assistance in fixing the problem. Not having someone to tell me to take it to a shop. Anyone with half a brain could say there is something wrong with it. I'm ashamed that you are a Moderator.
