Hello:
I have a 1989 S/10 4x4 with a 4.3 tbi v6 whith automatic transmission. this truck runs very well. the only problem I have is when it gets warmed up it doesent want to start (the starter drags not alowing it to start) I replaced the battery with a new one and that did the trick for awhile. meaning it started just fine when warmed up. then it started doing the same thing again. is it possiable that the altranator is not putting out enough to keep the batery at full charge. any information would be helpful.

Alt and charging system is probably fine if you aren't finding battery low all the time for initial starting. What it could be is cables just can't carry the amps to the starter because of battery cable end connections anywhere but more likely at the battery. Check out replacing the whole pos and neg cables with heavier gauge than OE should help this warm/hot engine sluggish start condition. Engine is tighter for a while when just shut down - not all do this but the amps delivery improvement can solve the issue,

The cables do look a little small about like a good size pencil. I will replace them with some heavy ones and will let you know what happens.
