I have a 88 nissan 200sx and the passenger sider wiper doesn't work. The connecting rod is attached and the wiper arm is not stripped. Can anyone tell me the name of what I am describing. I don't think it's the wiper moter because the driver side still works. Thank Pat

The part that you are describing is the wiper transmission. You need to get to the linkages to see where it is unhooked. There are little plastic locks that hold the pivots in place and they can wear out.
