88 Toyota Camry stalling

I have an 88 Toyota Camry LE All Trac. Currently it stalls after running for about 20-30 minutes. It runs fine until it dies. No sputtering or losing power, it just stalls (and it doesn't matter if we are driving or parked). Then it will take up to an hour (many times less) to get it to start back up again but it does start up until it stalls again.
We have replaced the fuel filter (it was full of crap and needed it anyway), we have replaced the coil in the distributor and tried a new ignitor too. We took it to the parts store and had them read codes and found nothing. No dash lights come on either. This car has been running just fine until about a month ago and then stalled on me driving down the freeway one day and has been doing it ever since.
If it was a sensor of some kind, wouldn't it have come up when the parts store tried to read the codes? My husband and I are just beside ourselves trying to figure out what the hell is wrong. Any suggestions?

This is an OBD 1, so a short glitch may not trigger a code. You need to find out what you're missing when the problem is occuring. You need to have a fuel pressure gauge to check fuel pressure, a spark tester to check spark, and a noid light to see if the injectors are receiving a command from the ECM to deliver fuel. All are fairly cheap tools to get at your local parts store. Once you know what you are missing when this happens we can narrow down what to look at to make this reliable again.
