88 Crown vic wont go Sign In

I have an 88 Ford LTD crown vic that started acting up today. It started acting funny like it didn't want to get any power when i push on the gas, and i pulled over and called my dad. I started it up and put it in drive and it wouldnt move, the engine just reved up but wouldnt move. So i sat there and put it in reverse...i can reverse but it wont move in drive or anything. PLEASE HELP

Well, you can do the basics & make sure the tranny is full of fluid. Start it up & check the dipstick level while in park. But unfortunately sounds like your transmission has lost it's forward clutch pack. Unsure

Well when it FIRST started acting that way i checked the fluid and it was low, so i put fluid in. An when i got it home my dad put some water in it for me because it was overheating...but its still doing that

Just a note: You should need be adding ATF or Coolant on a regular basis! Fix the problems (those are leaks and not normal) or this car will become a Hyundai, Kia and more soon!
