88 Accord rough idle/acceleration

88 accord lx-i, EFI, automatic. When it idles it has a sporadic lurch. It's worse when in gear, like when i pull up to a stop sign it idles pretty rough and I can put it in neutral and it's not as bad. I can also hold the gas and raise rpm a little and it smoothes out a little better. Its bad when it accelerates, it starts jerking like its missing and just has no guts. The "misses" almost completely stop when I get up to speed and not accelerate (it still does it if I'm already at 55 and speed up to 60). It actually runs smoother at high speed than at idle. I replaced the fuel filter, air filter and distributor cap and rotor. I changed the cap and rotor because it sounds like a spark or a short somewhere down by the distributor. It just seems like an electrical problem to me. Help please?
