What is the fuel pressure? How did you confirm injector pulse? Did you check one or did you check all injectors for pulse? Any troubles codes stored in the ECM? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Don't use a 12 volt test light to test for injector pulse. 12 volt test lamp draws too much current for the ECM's injector driver to handle. You can pop a driver if there is too much current flow. You need to get hold of a injector noid light for GM port injection. Test all the injector circuits for pulse. If you have a scope, you can use that to test for injector pulse also. Did you check for spark on all the plug wires using a spark tester? Should be a nice big fat whitish/blue spark that will easily jump a 0.060 gap. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

If you run all these tests, you should be able to figure out what is missing. You'll eventually narrow it down to the culprit. Just want to use the correct test equipment, so you get reliable results. Perseverance pays off. See if you have power to one side of the injector with the key on. Does your check engine light come on for bulb check when the key is turned on? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

What about the check engine light? I'll let DS weigh in on this but it's starting to point to the ECM but still needs more testing.

Is possible, but kind of rare. I have only seen one incidence in which the pickup wasn't producing a strong enough signal to the ICM. The ICM would trigger the coil, but the ECM wasn't getting a reference signal to fire the injectors. Check your engine grounds. I don't remember where the computer ground is on one of those, but check around the thermostat housing bolts. Probably a good place to start would be to remove the distributor cap and rotor and inspect inside. Inspect the ICM connectors which often fall apart or the terminals are corroded. If all the stuff in the distributor is original and looks pretty bad, your probably better off replacing the distributor assembly. You can also overhaul the distributor if you choose. If everything look good in the distributor, your going to have to get to the ECM and remove it's connectors. Inspect the connectors and terminals. Ohm check the ref circuit (purple/white wire at the 24 pin connector pin 5) back to the ICM and make sure you don't have an open or short to ground. Reconnect everything back up. If the circuit is good, unplug the distributor connector and take your 12 volt test lamp and connect it to battery positive. Then momentary touch the purple/white wire at the distributor connector while watching your NOID light with the ignition on. See if the light flashes. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

I never said that. I said it needs more testing. I never suggested the security system because you would have no crank with the Passkey system.

What is it that you're planning on testing? What you need to do is verify all the power and ground inputs along with the distributor signals to the ECM ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
