The cylinders are firing and have compression but they are not working. Unsure When the plug wire is removed it does't change the way the motor runs. Any suggestions?

Hello Please read this Then post the information we need to help you. We need to know which cylinders are not firing, along with what you have done to try to resolve it or what you did to know what the problem is. Thanks for understanding. The more information we have to start, the less time we have to spend asking for specifics.

Blush Sorry.

OK I know that cylinders 1 and 4 are not firing. I believe it is every other cylinder that is not working. The plugs and wires are in good shape there is good fire and compression is about 100 psi on the cylinders not working. The only thing that was done to reach this conclusion ,the spark plug wires are taken off and the motor still runs exactly the same but on the ones that seem to be working the motor slugs down when the wire is removed.

Couple more questions. Thanks for the extra info. Does your truck ahve a carburetor or is it fuel injected? Also, when was the distributor cap and rotor last replaced? So you said #1 and 4 are misfiring, is 6 and 7 missing also? If so, look at the intake under your fuel delivery into the intake and see if those cylinders are on the same plane of the intake. If they are, check to see if both sides of fuel are supplying fuel to the engine. We are here to help if we can. Maybe a Chrysler tech will chime in. I deal mainly in Fords, but try to help. Let us know.

Just poking my nose in this: I don't like the 100# compression reading of cylinders not working. What reading do cylinders that do work put out?
