when engine is at opperating temp the engine quits i turn ignition wait a few off minuites then it starts i will drive for a few minuites than the engine quits i turn it off for a few min then it starts it drives for a few min then it quits this cycle continuies until i get where im going has anyone else had this problem

cdr; Although I'm assuming this is an ignition problem, need to know for sure if it's losing spark during the 'dying' time. If it is, need to find out if you are losing 12V to the positive side of the coil at this time. If not, then need to find out if you are getting voltage out of the negative side during cranking. (with a test light, you'll get a blinking light during crank). This will narrow us down to ignition, control module, or distributor. Now...If you are not losing spark, remove the air cleaner and look down the carburetor throat. (WITH THE ENGINE OFF) Move the throttle by hand and see if it 'squirts' fuel into the throat of the carb. (Also, make sure that the choke is wide open...it should be with the engine at temperature. If it isn't, that'll be your problem.) Loren SW Washington
