85 bonniville 80k trouble accelerating

Have a 85 bonniville with 80k miles on it.when i try to drive it wont accelerate.just sits there and the engin?
and the engine revs up like i put it in N and tried to rev it up for a race.but if i slowly accelerate (like 5 miles every 30 seconds)then it finally gets up to 35mph.i had this probelm before about 8 months ago and took it to midas.they said it was my radiator and i had that replaced.then the next day it **** on me again and burst the water pump.another $550 the next day from midas.then about a month ago they replaced my radiator again becasue it was leaking out the left side.what should i do and what could be wrong with my car?those idiots at midas are pissing me off and i just want my car fixed,not scammed!

Are you saying that the engine revs up in drive but the car does not move?
